
Neil Giaman is about 100 pages into his next children's book, The Graveyard Book, according to his blog. He writes it by hand in an unlined Venitian notebook, which I think is cool. Above is a picture. You can see him reading a chunk of it on YouTube

Huh. you really like that guy, don't you?
By hand is one thing. I could see that being cool. (If I've got a writing block, trying the "old-fashioned" approach can be very helpful.)
But unlined?
That's crazy talk.
I can't see how people can write their novels by hand. Several authors seem to prefer it though. I do only when I can't get access to the computer. Most of the time I can't stand how much slower writing is than typing. My mind leaves my hand behind.
